Kristin Hanson Fine Jewelry School offers a 9-month intensive course for serious students looking to create their own line of jewelry. The Create Your Collection program inspires creative minds that wish to see their ideas come to fruition. During this program, we will help you develop your design aesthetic, translate your inspirations into jewelry designs, learn about jewelry history and understand basic rendering fundamentals.

Create Your Collection is a comprehensive jewelry fabrication course. Organically, as you improve on your design essentials you will gather the tools you need to become a successful jeweler. A student who has never held a bench saw before can be transformed into a beautiful jewelry artist during this intensive program. We also welcome students with a jewelry fabrication background as we will tailor this experience to suit your needs.

During the approximate nine months you spend working and learning how to Create Your Collection, the extensive curriculum will enable you to discover and hone your design aesthetic, learn the diverse skills you need to take the next step into the big beautiful world of jewelry, and find friendships that last a lifetime.

Build Your Brand - 2400 hours - $36,860.00

The comprehensive 2-year Build Your Brand program not only teaches you how to become an excellent jeweler, but an excellent businessperson as well. This curriculum will be instrumental in developing a quality body of work, and learning how to turn your passion into profit.

Students are only accepted into this program after three months of work within the Create Your Collection program, a review of their body of work, and a one-on-one interview with Kristin. If granted admission, after your completion of Create Your Collection you will move into this mentored apprenticeship.

The Build Your Brand program helps designers build confidence in their design, production and business skills. Many students naturally desire to start their own business as their design and fabrication skills improve. This program helps with your transition from the studio into the business world. Students that complete this intensive coursework learn entrepreneurship, an incredible work ethic, and an open mind.

In Build Your Brand, students will work closely with Kristin to set specific goals for their development, build their business plans, and develop the most efficient way to accomplish your dreams in the jewelry industry. Students will focus not only on expanding their jewelry fabrication skills set with more advanced techniques, but will learn to develop their business aptitude as well. We will also help you develop relationships in the industry and prepare you for the launch of your fine jewelry collection.

During the approximate two years you spend working and learning in Kristin’s studio, you will develop friendships that last a lifetime, have a better understanding of your specific design aesthetic, and hone skills you need to take the next step in the big beautiful world of jewelry. We do not guarantee job placement or instant success, but we will provide you with all the tools you need to turn your dream of owning a small jewelry business into a reality.
