Kristin Hanson Fine Jewelry School
art / influences
Born in Montclair, N.J., Kristin Hanson was raised in a home in which design and artistic expression were encouraged and supported. Kristin studied at The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston for a year, and then took a bold step towards her vocation, journeying to the wilds of Colorado to study with legendary master goldsmith Harold O'Connor, absorbing every nuance of painstaking, perfect technique.

Kristin pursued master training at the Alchimia School of Contemporary Jewelry in historic Florence, Italy, under the tutelage of Giampaulo Babetto. In Tuscany, inspired by the beauty of timeless Italian tradition, Kristin discovered a love of design and a passion for luxury.

Kristin creates one-of-a-kind handmade Couture jewelry. It's non-traditional, rich, warm, exciting and arresting. Her jewelry and art is less about the manufacturing process and more about the editorial element of creation that makes each one a signature piece.

Kristin's work has been featured extensively on runways and in prestigious fashion magazines: She designed for Oscar de la Renta runway shows for two years, and her jewelry has appeared in magazines and media outlets such as American Couture Jewelry, Daily Candy, Hollywood Life, InStyle, Jewelry W, Latina and Lucky.
