Hanson loves witnessing the transformation in her students, and nurtures both their design and entrepreneurial ambitions. "Ultimately, I want everyone who comes here to have their own line of jewelry," she says.
Teaching Philosophy, in her words:
"Art is someone else's perspective of real life, and I'm teaching students how to find their own perspective."
"My goal for every student is to help them tap into their own creativity to make personal, intimate, functional art."
"I help them find a style that is unique to them, I don't tell them to look at magazines and find ideas, I teach them how to look at architecture, how to look at real life and find inspiration, not from someone else's
interpretation."
"I try to inspire and teach in a manner that hastens their understanding, and accelerates the process of becoming an artist and jewelry designer."
